National Medicare Conference - Reigniting Sai Ideals in Medical Profession

Health care should emphasize the need to look at the person as a whole, including analysis of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual, aspects of a patient. This is the holistic approach that Swami has emphasized to stimulate self healing process, which is inherent in man.

It is with these concerns in mind that the first National Medicare Conference is being organized to both internalize the minds of our medical personnel to the concept of values-based medicine and to externalize by consolidation our Sai Medical Service Network to put into practice these concepts in values-based medicine. World Gayatri Day

World Gayatri Day falls on Thursday, 6th August 2009.

As we have embarked on chanting Gayatri on a regular basis for world peace, it is proposed that all Sai Devotees join the world in reciting Gayatri on this auspicious day.

National SSE Group 4 Level 2 Teachers Training Programme

National SSE Group 4 Level 2 Teachers Training Programme will be held on the 1st and 2nd August.
The closing date is on the 12th of July 2009.

Details are as follows:

1st August 2009 (Saturday) - 7am – 10.30pm
2nd August 2009 (Sunday) - 6.30am – 4pm

Venue: SSSBC of SS3

This training is a follow up to the Level 1 training conducted in your respective states recently. The training will focus on enhancing the knowledge, techniques and skills and builds upon the level I training program.

National Educare Carnival

The National Educare Carnival was successfully conducted on Saturday, 6th June 2009. The huge turnout of parents, teachers and EHV and Sai School children made the atmosphere so lively and exciting. The winners came from various states around the nation. Look at the exciting events that took place during the event.

Sai School Canteen Day & Vesak Day Journey to God (JB)

The Sathya Sai Primary School Canteen Day was held successfully on 17th May 2009.

There was an amazing variety of food and drinks available during the event. It ranged from professional rojak and cendol to chapatis and from fizzy floats to asam boi. Besides that the school children and teachers put up booths with fun games for children. The participation from Sai Centres, teachers, parents and children made it a very memorable event.

Walk for Values - GO GREEN!

About 500 participants filled the SS3 basketball court today to witness the first ever Walk for Values in Malaysia and possibly in Southeast Asia... This year's theme was Go Green and the venue was filled with a sea of "Green Messengers" sending a message of Love to Mother Earth in conjunction with Mother's Day.

Many Sai children, residents and the public came together to send a message to plant trees, reduce waste and save the environment. The programme was fully supported by the SS3 residents association, Dato Dr Wong Sai Hou and few other NGOs.

Among the highlights were children performances, exhibition on environment, games, floral float, choral speaking and tree planting.

Educare Carnival (Selangor/FT)

The Educare Carnival for the Sel/FT region was successfully conducted on Sunday, 26th April 2009. The huge turnout of parents, teachers and EHV and Sai School children made the atmosphere so lively and exciting.

The competitions included Story Telling, Choral Speaking and Speak Up and Act Out for the elder children. There were also fun, games and food, which transformed Sai School into a carnival-like occassion.

Although it was a competition among the centre EHV children, the spirit of unity was seen among all children and teachers. The winners of Sel/FT will go for the National Educare Carnival, planned tentatively on 6th June this year.

Sai School Sports Day -4th April

The Sekolah Rendah Sathya Sai held its sports day at MPSJ stadium in USJ, Subang on 4th April. There was an overwhelming response from the parents and the event went on smoothly and in a joyous way, thanks to Swami and his instruments who were present to help out.

The teachers, volunteers and parents all had a wonderful time. Swami's blessing also came in the form of rain, just as the last prize of the day was announced!

A community walk with families and friends to increase the awareness of Human Values in our lives. This year we focus on the importance of Going Green and saving the environment.

At the SS3 Basketball Court Area in Petaling Jaya

Why walk?
Well, when we walk we do not rush and this allows for more people to mingle with one another while leading to a healthy lifestyle.

How to participate?
Dress up in the most creative and colourful costume with a Human Values Message attached to the costume.

World Forestry Day 2009 Tree Planting

In conjunction with the World Forestry Day 2009, a community tree planting activity was organized on 21st of March 2009 in the North Selangor Peat Swamp Forest (NSPSF) by Global Environment Centre (GEC) in collaboration with Selangor State Forestry Department, Eco Warriors Malaysia and PATT (Plant-A-Tree-Today.org).

About 100 Sai warriors took part in this event. Check the photos here...

World Forestry Day has been celebrated around the world for 30 years to remind communities of the importance of forests and the many benefits which we gain from them. Up to 500 volunteers are expected to participate in the planting of 10,000 seedlings of an indigenous peat swamp forest species. The Raja Musa Peat Forest Rehabilitation Programme is an initiative to rapidly create forest cover in the degraded reserve and bring back its biodiversity.

Dr.Goldstien's visit to Malaysia

Due to unavoidable circumstances we had to move the venue for Br.Dr.Goldsteins's talk and the launch of Sai Care program to Kolej Bandar Utama KBU.

The program will be held at the multipurpose hall situated on the third floor of the main building. For those of you who are not familiar with KL please find your way to North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and the college is very next to the NKVE Toll gate. It is very easily accessible for those coming from the north.

All devotees are expected to be at the venue by 3.00pm on the 14^th of February 2009 and tea will be served at 3.3.0pm.

Are U Valuable? - Inter-Varsity Human Values Drama Competition

The Inter-Varsity Human Values Drama Competition was successfully held on the 19th of October 2008. Three colleges, Binary College, Taylors College and University Teknologi Petronas took part in the finals. There was also a guest drama performance by a group called Fallen Leaves who promotes Cancer and Aids awareness around the country.

Inter-Varsity Human Values Drama Competition (Selangor/FT)

Selangor/FT Sai Youth will be organising this drama competition themed "Are U Valuable?" on 19th October 2008 at Dewan Perdanasiswa Universiti Malaya from 3.30 pm to 7.00pm. The objective of the competition is to raise awareness of human values across tertiary institutions in the Klang Valley. A total of 5 teams from various colleges and universities will be taking part in this competition. A special performance will be showcased by Fallen Leaves on HIV/AIDS awareness.

Parenting Seminar - Love of Conscience – The Four Aspects of Human Nature

Rita Bruce needs no introduction. She had written a number of books on Baba's teachings and her experience with Bhagawan and the most notable one being "Sai Parenting".

As part of your Council's ongoing efforts to deepen the knowledge of devotees on Swami's profound teachings, we have arranged for Rita & Robert Bruce to fly all the way from USA to conduct a seminar entitled "Love of Conscience – The Four Aspects of Human Nature" on October 11 & 12 2008.

The sessions shall be divided into two modules, comprising of
Module 1 and Module 2.

Module 1 shall be held on the 28th and 29th of June 2008
Module 2 shall be held on the 2nd and 3rd of August 2008

The participants would have to participate in both modules to complete the “train the Trainer’s” course.

Food and Lodgings:

Food and lodgings have been arranged. Participants from out of town can check in on Friday 27th June 08 and 1st August 08. However those who check on Friday 27th June 08 and 1st August 08 shall organise their dinner. Since the venue is at Brickfields, food is readily available.

Sai School Canteen Day

Lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. That was the atmosphere at the canteen day organised by the Parents Teachers Association of Sai School in Puchong, Selangor. Participants from various centres in the Klang Valley put up food stalls for the event. The event not only helped Sai School in a little way, but also managed to create an atmosphere of unity and togetherness.
